*Vì sao phải sử dụng Máy đo độ PH trong nước ? Người ta thường đo độ pH của nguồn nước để: - Đánh giá khả năng ăn mòn kim loại đối với đường ống, các vật chứa nước. - Đánh giá nguy cơ các kim loại có thể hoà tan vào nguồn nước như chì, đồng, sắt, cadmium, kẽm… có trong các vật chứa nước, trong đường ống. - Tiên liệu những tác động tới độ chính xác khi sử dụng các biện pháp xử lý nguồn nước. Các quy trình xử lý,thiết bị xử lý thường được thiết kế dựa trên pH giả định là trung tính (6 – 8). Do đó, người ta thường phải điều chỉnh pH trước khi xử lý nước. Ảnh hưởng của độ pH: - pH ảnh hưởng đến vị của nước. - Nguồn nước có pH>7 thường chứa nhiều ion nhóm carbonate và bicarbonate (do chảy qua nhiều tầng đất đá). Nguồn nước có pH < 7 thường chứa nhiều ion gốc axit. Bằng chứng dễ thấy nhất liên quan giữa độ pH và sức khỏe của người sử dụng là nó làm hỏng men răng. – pH của nước có liên quan đến tính ăn mòn thiết bị, đường ống dẫn nước và dụng cụ chứa nước. Đặc biệt, trong môi trường pH thấp, khả năng khử trùng của Clo sẽ mạnh hơn. Tuy nhiên, khi pH > 8,5 nếu trong nước có hợp chất hữu cơ thì việc khử trùng bằng Clo dễ tạo thành hợp chất trihalomethane gây ung thư. - Ảnh hưởng của pH tới sức khoẻ: Trong nước uống, pH ảnh hưởng tới sức khoẻ, đặc biệt ảnh hưởng đến hệ men tiêu hoá. Tuy nhiên tính a xít (hay tính ăn mòn) của nước có thể làm gia tăng các ion kim loại từ các vật chứa, gián tiếp ảnh hưởng xấu đến sức khoẻ. – Nguyên nhân làm cho nước có pH thấp: Nước mang tính A xit (pH thấp) thường do các nguyên nhân địa lý gây ra, ví dụ như mưa a xít,… **Các dấu hiệu của pH thấp – Thường dễ thấy nhất là các vết mờ màu xanh rêu trên các vật chứa bằng đồng, các vết nâu đỏ trên các vật bằng sắt thép. Hướng Dẫn Sử Dụng Máy Đo PH Đất DM-13 Cần làm sạch bề mặt phần kim loại của máy (đầu nhọn) bằng giấy nhám hoặc vải chà kim loại. Khi sử dụng máy mới lần đầu thì nên cắm phần kim loại (đầu nhọn) của máy vào trong đất một vài phút để làm sạch phần dầu máy còn bám trên bề mặt máy trong quá trình sản xuất. Khi DM-13 được ép xuống đất với nút màu trắng ở bên trái chưa bị bấm, máy đo sẽ hoạt động như một thiết bị đo pH bình thường Khi máy được ép xuống đất và bấm giữ nút trắng. Máy đo sẽ hoạt động như một thiết bị đo độ ẩm. Đo pH đất * Nếu đất trồng quá khô, cần làm ẩm phần đất cần đo và chờ khoảng 20-30 phút cho ổn định (độ ẩm 40-60%) để trị số pH thể hiện trên máy là chính xác. Bước 1: Cắm phần đầu nhọn của máy xuống vị trí đất cần đo sao cho ngập 3 vòng kim loại trong đất. Nếu sử dụng máy đo pH tại các khu vực đất ruộng hoặc trang trại thì sau khi cắm máy đo vào trong đất cần dậm phần đất xung quanh cho chặt. Bước 2: Đọc kết quả sau khi cắm máy khoảng 1 phút. Trị số pH là giá trị kim đồng hồ chỉ số màu đỏ trên thang đo ở phần mặt trên của máy. * Lưu ý: Nếu đất được kiểm tra là khô hay có chứa nhiều phân, thì đồng hồ sẽ không hiển thị chính xác giá trị của nồng độ PH. Vì vậy chúng ta hãy tưới một ít nước vào đất nơi mà chúng ta muốn đo và đợi đến 20 phút sau đó hãy kiểm tra. Mặc định khi chưa sử dụng- kim chỉ giá trị pH là ở vị trí 7. Khi ta cắm vào đất thì máy hoạt động và kim sẽ cho giá trị thật pH của đất. Ví dụ sau khi cắm vào đất một lúc tầm 1 phút, kim sẽ chỉ về 5.5 hoặc 6 và ổn định ở đó, thì pH của đất lúc nà là 5.5 hoặc 6. Sau khi sử dụng xong thiết bị đo, hãy chắc rằng phần bề mặt kim loại tiếp xúc với đất được lau chùi sạch bằng vải mềm trước khi tiến hành đo ở một nơi
